Here we are Season nine of American Idol Paula s gone Simon s leaving and so far the best part of watching the auditions is the Kris Allen Ford commercial Yes I am watching season nine of American Idol I am at the point now where I shouldn t bother to even fight it anymore I love this ridiculous show And the best part about it is that it introduced me to David Cook Kris Allen the wonders of being a ninja during the Idols Live Tour I figure it s Simon s last season to make comments that send me raging on Twitter In fact I wanted to write this blog based on a comment from one of the executive producers Cecile Frot Coutaz

ade in the latest issue of Entertainment Magazine What we re seeing this year is a lot of kids coming to the show with great emotional backgrounds Last I checked this is a singing competition Not a sob story contest or season five Kellie Pickler would have won hands down Just sayin Another thing the over pimping of the female contestants in the Boston auditions was ridiculous I get it Idol guys have won the past two years you re looking at having a female winner this season I believe in particular they want us to vote for Katie Stevens Unless this girl seriously has a misstep during the Hollywood Week round she s going to the Top 24 and come hell or high water the judges will more than likely pimp her right into the Top 12 Another bone to pick with this season is Justin Williams Don t get me wrong he s got a great voice But are the judges suffering from short term memory loss Homeboy performed in Hollywood Week in season eight alongside season eight s winner Kris Allen and fifth place finisher Matt Giraud I couldn t believe that Idol failed to mention he had tried out previously and that the judges were all We re going to remember your voice Uh huh For me that would be frustrating to know that you ve already been through the process up to Hollywood Week yet the people who put you through the year before totally don t remember Or was it all a charade on the judge s part so Idol could focus on his emotional background about beating cancer Onto a more upbeat note I already am diggin one contestant in particular Luke Shaffer He absolutely won me over with his rendition of Secondhand Serenade s Fall For You And major props on the song selection I never would have guessed I would be hearing that song on Idol And he s like totally adorable Name that movie A9 5 Yahoo Video Good right I would say for right now he s my favorite voice of the competition so far I have only called winner once during audition rounds and that was during season four and I picked Carrie Underwood to win after her audition I picked David Cook to win during Top 24 week What can I say I really enjoyed his rendition of Happy Together I picked Kris Allen last year after Top 13 week He had this current Jason Mraz y vibe that I knew would go over well in the competition and hey he won I think anyone that can take a Kanye West song and make it better deserves the win Just sayin Trust me after years of rooting for those who in the end didn t win it s been nice to call winner the past few years However right now it s way too soon to tell Idol season nine I m in obviously Let s find the next American Idol Follow Wait WHAT on Twitter WaitWhatBlog
